Day Ride: Pinetop/Lakeside, Arizona

Route: AZ-87 N and AZ-260 E or US-60 E (CLICK HERE FOR MORE ROUTE INFO)

Time: 4-5 hrs depending on the route taken.

Distance: 109 - 216 depending on route.

Pinetop is a GREAT place to ride to enjoy the cool weather, and the awesome pines of Northern Arizona. There are two ways to get there. Both are great routes, with nice roads and beautiful scenery. I would have a hard time picking the better route.

87-260 will take you through Payson and the Sitgraves National Forest. While taking the 60 will bring you through Superior, Miami, and Globe. Make sure you check the weather report for the area before you hit the road, the weather can change drastically, so make sure you bring your rain gear!

Either way you go your bound to have a great ride. Why not make it a round trip? Go up one way, and back the other!
